WHY CAKE SMASH

​

Cake smash session is wonderful way of celebrating baby 1st BIRTHDAY. Another ( after newborn session and sitter session ) milestone, continuation of the story.  Session is full of fun for a child as well as parents. We let them be kids, play with cake while making memories which will always bring smile on your face!

WHAT TO EXPECT 

Cake smash session takes about 1-2h. My home studio or outdoor. Outfit for smash, set up and cake will be provided unless stated other ways. Theme of the session will be discused before the session. 

Cake smash is session which has few steps:

1) images of child clean ( no cake at this point) on the same set up which we will use for smash 2) cake smash-  playing with the cake, fun bit

3) splash- warm bubble bath or milky bath in little, super cute tub 

4) another set up 

5) pure and basic set up, something timeless

6) family/siblings images , as those are super important

 

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU?

The main thing you need to take care of , especially for family session is clothing. You can find some hits and tips                 Special items are always welcome: little blanket your child got as a gift from Grandmother and you wish it to me captured with your family/child. If you are uncertain whether its worth to bring something or not, feel free to contact Aga Tetera Photography, I will be delighted to help. Additional outfit for the little one is always welcome.

BRIBE- something your little one really like to eat, a biscuit, snack.  Try to avoid chocolate as this will stain and live and marks all over the face.

MY CHILD HAS FOOD ALLERGIES 

​

If your child has special dietary requirements it does not cross him out from having wonderful birthday celebration and full of fun session. Cake company, I'm working with, is register cake maker will create the cake suitable for your child needs (eg. dairy and egg free cake 

or glutten free cake etc. )  Diet will be discussed prior the session.

SHOULD I BRING PROPS?

 

If you have a special family heirloom or toy you would like included in your baby’s photographs, you are welcome to bring them to the session. Aga Tetera Photography has a large selection of wonderful props and clothes to use with every type of sessions.

 

SHOULD BOTH PARENTS ATTEND THE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?

 

It’s always best if both parents can be present when the photographs are taken. It’s important to have photographs with both parents individually, as well as family.

SHOULD siblings ATTEND THE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION?

Absolutely! The family and siblings photographs are in my opinion the most important. This is priceless treasure for years to come and for future generation. 

For younger siblings, I will suggest bringing them at the end of the session

( time will be agreed ) as they may be bored during the time in studio. Older siblings are welcome, but please bring some entertainment to keep them occupied- tablet, phone, book.

CAN OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS COME ALONG TO OBSERVE THE SESSION?

 

Aga Tetera Photography prefers only the parents to attend the photography session for several reasons.   Due to limited space only close family so parents and siblings, if you would like to bring for example Grandmother or other relative please discuss it prior session.

What will happen after the session 

​

Viewing appointment will be scheduled 4-6 weeks from the session date, this is where your session fully, beautifully edited will be presented to you. On the viewing appointment you will see the results of our session and this is where you will decide which package you wish to go for. No commitments upfront. Minimum purchase of basic package is essential.
